Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the European Board of Medical Assessors (EBMA), it is my great pleasure to invite you to our annual meeting in Faro, Portugal from April 2nd – 5th 2025. The conference theme is “Integrating technology, evidence and quality in assessments for health professions education”.

Keynote presentations will be given by Olle ten Cate, Dario Cecilio-Fernandes, Wim Gijselaars and Marjan Govaerts. The programme will consist of short symposia, workshops, oral and poster presentations drawn from abstracts submitted by conference attendees.

There will be ample opportunities to network with international colleagues and we are excited to announce that EBMA 2025 has been extended by 1 day whilst keeping pricing at 2024 levels.

University of Algarve

Located in the south of Portugal, UAlg is based in Faro, the capital of Algarve. Its privileged location next to Faro International Airport, as well as the excellent conditions it has to offer, mean that this university is increasingly acquiring international status, welcoming students from more than 80 nationalities every year.

With two campus – Gambelas Campus and Penha Campus – the University of the Algarve currently has ample space, infrastructures and equipment that provide excellent conditions for study, work, research and socialising for a population of around 8,000 students.

The Gambelas Campus is located six kilometres from the city of Faro and is home to the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (FMCB), the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FCHS), the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT), the Faculty of Economics (FE) and the School of Health (ESS).

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
